Yes! You are welcome to use your own gear at our centres; however, all personal equipment is subject to the final approval and discretion of the Centre Manager on the day of your event.
- Marker Requirements: We exclusively use .50 Calibre paintballs. Your marker must be compatible with this size; standard .68 calibre markers are not permitted. All markers must pass an on-site chronograph test to ensure they fire below 300 FPS.
- Air Systems & Gas: We operate a strict “no customer-owned gas cylinders” policy. For safety, our marshals will provide and attach onsite air bottles (3000 PSI) to your marker, provided they are compatible and DOT/TC stamped. Bottles are refilled approximately every 30 minutes.
- Goggles & Suits: You may use your own paintball-specific goggles and combat suits, provided they meet our safety standards and pass a technical inspection upon arrival.
- Paintballs: Only paintballs issued by the centre on the day of your event may be used. External paintballs are strictly prohibited for health, safety, and environmental reasons.
- Safety Protocols: We enforce a “No Markers in Base Camp” policy. When not in active play, all markers must be safely racked in the designated Gun Zone, where maintenance may also be performed.
- Contact Information: For questions regarding equipment compatibility, please contact the Optimum Paintball Canada team at 1-833-722-2151.
Important: If your gear does not meet our safety requirements, you will be required to use our high-quality rental equipment to ensure the safety of all players.
